Howdy, my name is Nicholas. Monday through Friday I am a high school technology and social studies teacher. On the weekends you will likely find me on the hiking trails of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. I started texomahiking.com and its related social media presence to share my passion for hiking, photographs of local hiking trails, and provide reviews of trails I hike.

My hiking story begins during the 2020 pandemic. I found myself going stir crazy after weeks of working from home and rarely leaving the house. I decided to get out of the house by visiting a local hiking trail. I liked it so much that I started visiting other local trails. Soon I found myself on the trail almost every weekend. I discovered that the Texoma region contains many hiking trails. While these trails may lack the scenic views of the Rockies or Appalachians, there is much natural beauty to be found in Texoma. Hopefully this website will help you find a trail to hike and bring attention to some of the great trails in the area.
